Why not a Winter Wedding?
I’d like to help you understand the benefits of a Winter Wedding!
Yes, there are few of them!
Most of the couples have their weddings during the summer season however winter weddings also offer plenty of romance and special moments.
May to October is considered as the wedding season. The weather is warm and it is usually sunny, flowers blossom, the grass is green and we get the longer days. However winter weddings are getting more and more popular. Not only for their romantic vibe and wonderful décor.

The first benefit of a winter wedding will definitely be wedding supplier’s availability
During the busy wedding season it is quite challenging to find a venue that you really love and that has availability on your day. The same can happen with the catering company, florist, celebrant, etc. Even though there are so many different wedding photographers out there that cover all different genres and styles, sometimes we can be really busy during the wedding season.
Getting married in the winter months will give you freedom of choice. There will be more suppliers that you will be able to choose from. It will also be much easier for your guests to find accommodation (it might not be as easy to travel there if it will be snowing).

Snow on your wedding day
Perhaps you will be lucky enough to have a snowy wedding and just imagine the wonderful backdrop for your photos. It is perfect if you have any children at your wedding as they will definitely enjoy it. Snow on your wedding day is also considered good luck, mainly in the prosperity and fertility area.

The christmas wedding season
If you are planning on getting married in the Christmas season you can be lucky enough to have some guests on their annual leave. You will also get atmospheric Christmassy vibes which will add some magical moments to your wedding gallery.
What can be more wonderful than spending Christmas with all of your loved ones? Imagine the Christmas tree and mistletoe, the tasty warm food, and Christmas games!

Honeymoon budget
Once the wedding blues are over it is time to start planning your honeymoon. Hopefully after your winter wedding you will have a bigger budget to enjoy some amazing time away.

Romantic evenings
Lastly, the romance that comes with the winter and Christmas season. What’s more romantic than those intimate candle lights, open fires, sparklers, lanterns, mulled wine, and warm blankets? This of the cosy atmosphere you would be sharing with your loved ones on your special day. Think of the kisses under the mistletoe, warm hugs with your new husband/wife.

Things to consider
- Be aware of the daylight timings, it gets dark early so keep that in mind and book an early wedding ceremony
- Find out the time of the sunset
- It is going to be chilly outside so it’s a good idea to get some blankets for your guests to keep them warm
- Enjoy your special day to the fullest
- Drink plenty of warm drinks
