MEET KAT - YOUR COTSWOLDS, WILTSHIRE,OXFORDSHIRE & GLOUCESTERSHIRE
WEDDING & FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

"IT ALL BEGAN WHEN MY STEPDAD BOUGHT ME MY FIRST CAMERA...

OR A LOVE STORY THAT LED TO DOCUMENTING YOURS!"

It is always so difficult to talk about yourself... but I’m up for the challenge! My full name is Jekaterina, but everyone calls me Kat. (I know, my full name can be a bit tricky to pronounce!) I’m based on the border of the beautiful Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and Oxfordshire counties, and I consider myself lucky to be surrounded by such breathtaking wedding venues where I love to work!
My journey into photography started with an unexpected gift. I remember vividly the day my stepdad handed me my first camera. I was around 15, and it felt like the world opened up to me in a way I hadn’t experienced before. There was something magical about capturing a moment, a feeling, and freezing it in time. The gift sparked a love story that I didn’t fully appreciate until later in life. At first, I was just experimenting - capturing everything and everyone around me. But slowly, I realized photography wasn’t just about pressing a button, it was about seeing the world differently and connecting with people through the lens.
As time passed, I enrolled at university, majoring in drawing and applied arts. While I was initially focused on the world of visual arts, I found myself consistently drawn back to photography. There’s something so pure about it. It isn’t just about light, composition, or framing a shot. It’s about understanding people, reading the subtle nuances of their emotions, and documenting their stories in a way that’s authentic. Studying art opened up my perspective, but photography reconnected me with people and allowed me to engage with them on a deeper, more personal level.
From there, my love for wedding photography blossomed. There’s something profoundly special about weddings - the raw emotion, the love, the anticipation.
Weddings are a mix of candid, heartfelt moments and high-energy celebrations, and that’s where I thrive. I love capturing the quiet, intimate moments between couples just as much as I adore documenting the whirlwind of laughter and tears throughout the day.

In contrast to many wedding photographers,
my background is deeply rooted in the arts. I’ve been an artist for over 20 years, and this creative history deeply informs my style. I received my bachelor’s degree in applied arts and later earned my master’s degree in photography, which allowed me to refine my visual storytelling techniques.
My photography blends a
documentary approach with a romantic touch of fine art elegance and a hint of editorial fashion. I create images that feel genuine, intimate, and timeless - images that will tell your story for years to come.
But it’s not just about the photos themselves; it’s about the experience I create for my clients. My focus is always on preserving your best memories in a way that feels unique to you. I believe in capturing both the calm, intimate moments and the unfiltered, spontaneous ones that make the day so real and unforgettable.
You deserve to remember how life felt on your wedding day - the laughter, the love, the nerves, and all the in between moments that make it special.
When you hire me as your photographer, you’re not just booking someone to take pictures; you’re trusting me to document the most meaningful day of your life. I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to be invited into these moments. It’s a huge honour, and every time, it reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
My goal is simple: I want you to enjoy the time we spend together. I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed, knowing that you’re in capable hands.
I’ll do everything I can to make sure your day goes smoothly, from the first snap to the last, and to deliver images that you’ll cherish forever.

I will be your additional bridesmaid and I will zhuzh your dress and bring you some snacks!

I have been lucky enough to photograph weddings at some incredible venues in my time. These include Widbrook Grange, Eastington Park, Syrencot House, Glenfall House, Matara Center, Merriscourt, Purton House, The Pear Tree, The Swan Hotel in Bibury, to name just a few.
"I believe it is the job of your photographer to not only create stunning images, but also make sure you look and feel completely comfortable and relaxed!"
So, if you’re looking for someone to tell your love story in a way that’s both romantic and true to who you are, I’d love to be part of your wedding day.
Let’s create something beautiful together!

As seen in..
